STITCH RATE

The stitch is the number of yarn tufts vertically per inch. The gauge is the number of yarn tufts horizontally. The combination gives you a general reading of density. The higher the density (stitch x gauge) the clearer the resolution. The illustration below shows an 11x11 construction or 121 stitches per square inch. Our CYP machine can also stitch at 12x12 and 13x13 for high performance areas.
